Tomorrow koharu's family is flying to Ohita, Kyushu
to visit her grandparents.
They will be back on May 5th.
Oh, I've never been to Kyushu yet.
I wish I could go with them!
I have to stay at home to take care of koharu's hamster,
Maro-chan and her brother's goldfish, Donald.
At nine in the morning I will go to koharu's house.
I'll say "Hello" to Donald.
I'll say "Have a good sleep" to Maro-chan.
Hamstars sleep in the daytime.
At six in the evening I will go to koharu's house
and say "Good night" to Donald; "Hello" to Maro-chan.
Maro-chan is active at night.
I think Donald and Maro-chan will miss koharu's family
so much.
koharu told me how to take care of her Maro-chan.
Donald, koharu's brother's goldfish, is turning white.

I went to Tokyo University of Foreign Studies
and enjoyed works of Émile Prisse d'Avennes--
"Characters of the Valley of the Nile in the 1840s."

I saw manners and customs of the Egyptians
in the 19th century.
They were very interesting.
I'm now interested in how the commoners in Egypt
lived in the old times.

I went down to Kinchakuda and had lunch there
--tow onigiri I had bought at a convenience store
on the way.
( Kinchakuda )
Kinchakuda is along this river.
Some families were enjoying BBQ party on the river side.

I woke up at six this morning.
I got up at seven.
Wow! What a bright spring day!
I decided to go hiking to Mt. Hiwada alone.
Mt. Hiwada is 305 meters high.
koharu is going for an excursion to Kinchakuda
and Mt. Hiwada in May.
Yes, I did a dry run of her school excursion.
Kinchakuda is famous for its higan-bana.
koharu will have lunch there.
The top of the mountain is too small
for 120 students to eat lunch.
They will climb Mt. Hiwada first and go down
to Kinchakuda.
I hope koharu will enjoy her first mountain climbing.
I transferred four times and arrived at Koma Station.
I decided to go up Onna-saka here.
view of Kinchakuda from the Torii of Kompira-jinja.
Do you see Mt. Fuji? I did.
I went up toward the top.

I like apples very much.
Today I made three quilt apples in my quilt circle.
I took those apples to koharu's home.
koharu and her family all admired the apples I made.
The smallest apple---koharu will put it in her doll house.
The other two apples will be put in the living room.
The saying "An apple a day keeps the doctor away"
came into my mind.

It is very hot today.
I feel as if we were in early summer.
According to TV news at noon,
the temperature, now in Tokyo, stands 25℃ !
I went to the dentist in the morning
and had my teeth examined.
I'm glad every tooth of mine is all right.
Oh, koharu is coming back from school.
I think I'll go and see her at her home.
(on the way to the dentist, this morning)

I've never been to America.
I've never been to Boston.
Today I went to Roppongi with Ms M
and enjoyed European masterpieces
from The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
All works of art exhibited there fascinated me.

Before going to Roppongi, Ms M and I went to Ginza
after an interval of two months.
I've lost my appetite since my trip to Egypt
but today's lunch restored my appetite.
I spent a good day.
