Tomorrow I'm going to Echigo Yuzawa
to attend a high school class reunion.
The reunion is held at a hotel in Yuzawa
and I'll stay the night at the hotel.
Then I'm going to see my elder sister in Tochio,
where I'll stay a few days.
I hope you'll all enjoy your Golden Week holidays.
See you in May.

On Sunday morning I listen to the radio.
My favorite program is 「音楽の泉」,
radio classical music program.
Yesterday Dvořák’s ‘The Symphony No. 9,
: From the New World’ (ドヴォルザークの交響曲第九番:
新世界より) was played in the program.
How happy I was!
Dvořák’s ‘The Symphony No. 9’ is my favorite music.
Of course, I have a CD of ‘From the New World’and
I can enjoy it whenever I want to. But it makes me
very happy that I happen to listen to it in the program
on the radio.
I met M-san in Ginza and we had a delicious lunch
at a Japanese restaurant Daimasu.

After lunch we went to Ginza Kabukiza Theater.

We knew there were tickets sold for Single Act
on the day of the performance!

We were lucky enough to buy the tickets for 2000 yen
each.
将門, acted by 玉三郎 and 松緑.

I didn’t know the story but I enjoyed some of Kabuki
world.
What a happy Sunday!

I am extremely uneasy about unusual weather
and frequent big earthquakes we had in the week.
I am now wondering and say to myself,
“What is North Korea going to do?”
“What is the purpose of Boston Marathon bombings?”
“What is the cause of an explosion at a fertilizer plant
in Texas?”
Alas, many were killed or injured in the bombings and
the explosion.
I pray for the souls of the victims.

Yesterday I joined ‘Green Road Walking Club’.
We went to Yotsuya Station by train and started
to walk from there.
I had never got off at Yotsuya Station.
I followed after the leader not to be lost.
迎賓館 is very beautiful.
Our guide told us 迎賓館 was modeled after Versailles.

I thought of 愛子様 when I saw this sign.

I prayed silently at every temple and shrine I visited.

消防博物館 was crowded with families who brought
their little children.
Then we walked to 大木戸門 of 新宿御苑.

I had onigiri lunch there with two ladies.
After having lunch, we, three ladies, enjoyed
walking about 新宿御苑 and arrived at 新宿門.

On the way to JR Shinjuku Station we visited

I had a tea break at Olive House in Kokubunji
with a lady I first met yesterday.
She has been a member of Green Road Walking
Club for 17 years!
I was happy to meet her.
It was windy but I enjoyed walking very much.
I walked 20098 steps in a day.

Today it was a bit cold for this time of the year.
I was happy to see blue skies.
The tree karin in koharu's garden has bloomed
so lovely.
It will bear yellow fragrant fruit this autumn.
Then I think I will preserve fruit with honey
as I used to.

The first term of 2013 Wednesday English Class
at KIFA started today.
KIFA stands for
Kodaira International Fiendship Association.
The textbook we use is 'Person to Person' published
by Oxford University Press.
The class consists of 14 ladies-- no gentlemen.
The teacher is from Australia, who is married to
a Japanese.
She is a very good teacher.
I'm happy to be a member of her class.
Let's enjoy English, Classmates!
----------------------------------------
On the way to KIFA, I was surprised to see
a middle aged woman eating onigiri
while walking along the street.
The street runs through the residential district.
There were no festivals there.
There were no special events there.
Was she too hungry?
Was she in a hurry?
Why was I surprised?
Isn't it bad manners to eat Onigiri
while walking along the public street?

Hello, everybody!
I'm so glad to be back here again.
When I’m away from my apartment,
I have no chance to enjoy the Internet Life.
I spent three days in Tochio and four days
in Niigata City.
My sister and her husband were very glad to
see me again.
“What a relief!” my sister said.
During four days in Niigata City, I saw my good old
friends and enjoyed talking with them.
I enjoyed each moment to the full.
I’m now suffering from a pollen allergy and coughing.
Is coughing one of hay-fever symptoms?
