On September 26, the next day I came back to Tokyo,
MH-san and I were talking on the phone and we decided
to meet in Ginza.

There were a lot of people before Apple Store, Ginza.
What were they waiting for?

We went to the event square of Matsuya Ginza to enjoy
「ド・ローラ・節子の暮らし展」.

ド・ローラ・節子 is a charming and elegant Japanese lady
who lives in Switzerland.
I was surprised to know she is as old as I am.
We were born in 1942.
How young she looks!

After enjoying the exhibition, MH-san and I took a late lunch
at a restaurant Kenzan on the same floor.

I was a little tired and we gave up 銀ブラ.
We walked to Yuraku-cho Station and said good bye there.
I walked 11854 steps that day.
Yes, I had a nice day with MH-san.

How happy I was to see my sister and her husband
in Tochio!
They were very fine.
They welcomed me with their warm smiles.
My sister was worrying about my health,
because I did not come back in August.
Her husband found it rather difficult to stand up
and walk.
But he never complained about it.
He is always smiling.
How strong he is!
I admire my sister and her husband deeply.

I met a few of my good old co-workers.
We enjoyed lunch and talking.
Thank you, Friends!
I had a wonderful time with you all.

I went to the beach alone before going to Tochio,
my native place, where my sister and her husband live.
The beach is about 15 minutes’ walk from my house.
I can’t leave Niigata without taking a walk on the beach.

On September 21, I met IY-san who sent me
the beautiful laser-cut art letter.
We met in front of Niigata Station and walked to
a restaurant named 鹿島屋 on 東堀通り.
When we were crossing 萬代橋, I remembered crossing it
with my husband.

IY-san and I had a fine lunch and talked a lot about our life.
I walked 13618 steps that day.

Oh, my sweet home!
When I opened the front door, a musty smell drifted out of the inside.
I opened all the windows and let fresh air into the rooms.
Then I said hello to my neighbors.
They are always so kind to me.
I am grateful beyond words.
On the morning of September 20, I took a train
to visit my husband's graveyard.
I told my husband to stay in peace as we are all doing well
in this world.
I said to him, “I'll be coming to you, darling, when the time
to come has come. I always miss you!”

On the morning of September 19, Tokyo Station was
full of people.
I wondered if I could have a seat in the Joetsu Shinkansen.
I've never booked a seat for the Joetsu Shinkansen,
because both Tokyo Station and Niigata Station are
terminal stations.
Luckily, I could find a seat next to a gentleman in black.
He was going to Niigata to attend his brother's wife's funeral.
He told me about his life---how he lived his life.
He was 81 years old and was taking care of his wife
who was getting senile.
He used to be a CEO in a large company.
Whenever I travel by train, I enjoy a chance encounter.

Dear Friends,
What a beautiful autumn morning!
I'm good enough to go back to Niigata.
I'll be away for a week or so.
Looking forward to seeing you again.
Thank you.
